Experience the barrier-free tree top walk Bad Iburg!

At a height of up to 28 meters above the forest floor, you can gain special insights into the flora and fauna of the forest spa park. The 440 meter long tree top walk winds around 630 trees!

Iburg Castle

The castle in Bad Iburg is the symbol of the city and is one of the historically significant building complexes in the Osnabrück county. The Iburg was built in 1070 on a hill as a castle with a wooden chapel. The Knights’ Hall in particular, which was built in the mid-17th century, is an unusual and fascinating sight for visitors of all ages.

Below the Iburg Castle you will find the Charlottensee. The artificial pond with an event island at the foot of the castle hill offers a beautiful view on the castle and invites you to linger. In winter, there are numerous ice-skaters because the lake freezes easily due to its shallow depth.

Osnabrück Zoo

Since its opening in 1936, Osnabrück Zoo has been a popular destination. The zoo is located on the slopes of the Schölerberg in a beech forest and is therefore also called the forest zoo.

The 23.5 hectare excursion destination is home to more than 2,200 animals from around 290 animal species. A real must for small and large animal lovers!
